Matthew Liebman

Matthew Liebman is a staff attorney at the Animal Legal Defense Fund, where he works in the civil litigation program. Prior to coming to ALDF, Matthew clerked for the Honorable Warren J. Ferguson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Matthew graduated with distinction from Stanford Law School, where he co-founded a chapter of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund and a reading group on critical legal theory. Matthew is the co-author, with Bruce Wagman and Michelle Maloney, of a forthcoming book on international and comparative animal law. Matthew's writing has also appeared in the Journal of Animal Law, the Stanford Environmental Law Journal, and the Animal Legal & Historical Web Center.
